PRODUCTIONS IN THE 2000s

Amongst the productions in the decade 2000-2010 were:

THE BLACK ALBUM (NT), JOURNEY TO THE WEST trilogy, REVELATIONS,  THE TEMPEST, RAMAYANA EXHIBITION (BL), THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, MARRIAGE OF FIGARO, 2001-A RAMAYAN ODYSSEY, AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE, A TASTE FOR MANGOES, WHEN THE LIGHTS WENT OUT,  THE GENIE OF SAMARKAND, MANDRAGORA, TANABATA

Hanif Kureishi’s play, based on his novel of the same name, marked the second decade of the fatwa against Salman Rushdie. It powerfully told the story of the rise of fundamentalist religion in London.

Directed by Jatinder Verma, set design by Tim Hatley and costume design by Claudia Mayer.

This trilogy, written & directed by Jatinder Verma and Designed by Claudia Mayer, toured 9 British cities. The trilogy was staged over the course of one day, in each city.
